THE SERGEANT MAJOR OF THE ARMED FORCES OF MONTENEGRO
SMAF Vladan Kojic was born on October 05, 1975, in Podgorica, Montenegro.
He was selected by the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, on June 8, 2007 to be the first appointed Sergeant Major of the Armed Forces of Montenegro.
Serving as the senior enlisted advisor to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, he successfully developed the NCO Support Chanel, contributed to transformation and improvement of the NCO Corps, and upgrading the military education and NCOs promotion system.
SMAF Vladan Kojic joined the Army on August 28, 1994. Throughout his career, he has held a variety of leadership positions at the 83rd Air Defense Brigade, 5th Motorized Brigade, and Military Police Unit.
SMAF Vladan Kojic military education includes the Basic Non Commissioned Officer’s Course, Senior NATO NCO Leadership Course, Peace Support Operations Staff Officers and Senior NCOs Orientation Course, Counterinsurgency Orientation Course, Instructor Training Course of the Law of Armed Conflict, and Advanced Noncommissioned Officer’s Course.
SMAF Vladan Kojic holds an Associate of Science degree in Business Administration, Bachelor of Science degree in Management. He is currently working on a Master of Science degree in Management from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Montenegro.
SMAF Vladan Kojic has received awards and decorations from the President of Country, Secretary of Defense, and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. His accomplishments include: Medal for Virtues in Defense and Security, awards for exemplary performance of duties and several extraordinary promotions to higher ranks.
SMAF Kojic is married to Marija Kojic and they have two sons, Balsa and Bogdan. His hobbies include Judo in which he holds to ranking of a Black Belt.
SMAF Vladin Kojic is a graduate of Class 65 of the U.S. Army Sergeants Major Course.
